Notice of Change in Meeting Location : The Board of Education, Springfield School District No. 186, will convene the Board Meetings of Monday, June 3, 2024, and Monday, June 17, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., in the PD Room, 3063 Fiat Avenue. This is a change from the previously scheduled location of 1900 West Monroe Street.
It is expected that the Board will immediately adjourn into Executive Session to discuss matters as noticed on the meeting agenda for both meetings. It is expected that during the June 3, 2024 meeting, the Board will reconvene the public portion of the meeting at 6:30 p.m. This is a change from the previously scheduled 6:00 p.m. time. The public portion of the meeting of Monday, June 17, 2024, is expected to begin at 6:00 p.m., as presently scheduled.

Today, Iles School had the pleasure of hosting morning show anchor, AJ Gersh, in Ms. Sharp's 1st-grade class. 🍎📚 A.J. captivated the students with an awesome story called "Reach For The Stars". 🌟 The kids were so engaged and even had many questions for A.J. after he finished reading! It's incredible to see how much our students enjoy connecting with community members through these read-alongs.

George Washington Carver and Friends event was a success at Matheny-Withrow Elementary School - a traveling theater group performed a wonderful production for the students. The story followed a student writing a book report on African American inventors.
