After School Tutoring is offered Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in Room 214
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the Peace Room is open and available to students for support in the Guidance Office-8:30-9am and 11:30-2pm.
Next week kicks off the best week of the year, City Tournament week! We will celebrate with a spirit week. Dress code rules still apply. No props and be smart with what is part of your outfit. No full face masks are allowed. And NO PAJAMAS! Don't get Kramer yelled at for you wearing pajamas pants! He gets yelled at enough on his own. Tuesday - Luau/Hawaiian Day
Wednesday - Nostalgia Day - Dress like something that was your favorite from your childhood!
Thursday - Dynamic Duo or Sport - In honor of Lebron James and Dwayne Wade - find and dress your perfect pair or go all out sports wear
Friday - Spies/Black Out - Dress as a person of mystery on a mission, or go all black
Dress up each day. Prizes of cash, gift cards, and free city tickets will be passed out to those who are participating. Show up to games to support both teams to a championship and be loud to help keep the Spirit Award here at SHS! BEST WEEK OF THE YEAR!
National Honor Society application is now open and available. Juniors and Seniors who's GPA qualifies are on a list posted on Canvas, outside Kramer's office, the Main office, and library. If you are on this list and interested in applying for National Honor Society, please stop by Mr. Kramer in 153A to get a letter of intent to run. He will then share the application with you to fill out. The application will be due February 19, so the earlier you speak to Mr. Kramer, the more time you will have with the application. Check Canvas or email Mr. Kramer for more information.
Springfield High is beginning prep on their Black History Month celebrations. If you would be interested in representing SHS in our History Bowl competition against the other schools or want to be involved in planning and execution of our BHM school assembly, see Mr Kramer or send him an email!
The Sadie’s Dance will be here before we know it! The dance this year will be February 21 Sadie’s is the only other dance that all students are able to attend. Get it in your calendars and come out for a laid back and fun night.

Unity Day is all about bringing students together from Springfield, Southeast, Lanphier, and Sacred Heart–Griffin for a high-energy afternoon of connection, community, and school pride before the final games of City Tournament.

Seniors - Local scholarships are coming open and are ready for you to apply. If you are attending LLCC next year, you have until Today Feb 15th to complete their application. Everyone should check the opportunities for the Community Foundation for Land of Lincoln, CFLL, as there are 24 opportunities for SHS students to apply to. Check canvas for more info.

SHS 8th Graders and their parents are invited to Preview Night at SHS! Join us on Today, January 15th at 6:00 p.m. in the Schnirring Auditorium for a brief introduction, then walk the halls and visit classrooms to learn about life next year at Springfield High School!
Fellowship of Christian Athletes will have game night on Tuesday January 20th in the Commons.

*The Lady Senator basketball team held on and beat Champaign Central 57 to 54. SHS was led by Abby Malit and Aniyah Rhinehouse each scoring 16 points and Malorie Harris chipped in 10. Next up is a home game tonight against Mt. Zion.
